Apple's AI Problem Gets a New Face

AI is now fixing the problems… that AI helped create.
Anthropic just pushed its AI-powered vulnerability scanner into public beta and it’s a pretty big shift for cybersecurity teams.
What started earlier this year as a research preview (called Claude Code Security) is now live as Claude Security, built on their Opus 4.7 model. And it’s not just another scanning tool- hundreds of companies have already used it to uncover bugs that traditional tools completely missed.
Big players like CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Sentinel One, Trend.ai, and Wiz are already integrating it into their platforms-which tells you this isn’t experimental anymore.
Here’s what makes it different:
Instead of just pattern-matching like older tools, this one actually thinks through the code.
It traces how data flows, reads source code context, and understands how different files interact- almost like a human security researcher would.
And it doesn’t just flag issues.
It tells you how serious they are, how likely they are to be exploited, and even suggests fixes you can apply directly.
They’ve also added practical features like scheduled scans, better triaging with notes, and export options for audits so it fits into real-world workflows, not just demos.
Why this matters (more than it seems):
AI is now writing a huge chunk of enterprise code.
The problem? That code is showing more vulnerabilities than human-written code.
At the same time, attackers are also using AI- making it faster to find and exploit those weaknesses. In fact, attacks exploiting public-facing apps jumped significantly last year.
So now we’re in this loop:
AI creates faster → vulnerabilities increase → attackers move faster → humans struggle to keep up.
Tools like Claude Security are the defense side trying to catch up.
But the bigger question is still open:
Can AI actually keep pace with and fix the problems it’s accelerating?
Because if it can’t, this gap only gets wider.

AI is moving from your phone… straight into your car.
Google is bringing Gemini to vehicles with Google built-in- replacing the traditional Google Assistant with something far more conversational: an AI co-pilot.
This isn’t a small test rollout either.
It’s expected to reach around 4 million GM vehicles (2022 models and newer), including Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC.
For now, it’s launching in the U.S. in English- but this is clearly just the beginning. More regions, languages, and automakers are next in line.
So what actually changes for drivers?
Instead of rigid voice commands, you can just talk naturally.
Want a restaurant?
You can say something like:
“Find a sit-down place with outdoor seating on my route.”
And then follow it up with:
“Is parking available there?” or “What’s on the menu?”
It also handles everyday tasks-navigation, climate control, messages- completely hands-free.
There’s even a beta feature called Gemini Live, where you can have more open-ended, back-and-forth conversations by saying, “Hey Google, let’s talk.”
And this is just version one.
Future updates will connect it deeper with Gmail, Calendar, and even your smart home.
Why this matters:
Your car is becoming more than just transport- it’s becoming a connected AI environment.
With Gemini built into millions of dashboards, everyday driving turns into a real-world testing ground for conversational AI at scale.
But it also raises bigger questions:
How much attention should drivers give to AI while on the road?
How much data is being collected?
And how much control are automakers willing to hand over to tech platforms?
One thing is clear-
the next evolution of AI won’t just live on screens.
It’ll ride with you.
